A Tale Of Gas Gods' and Magic Mortgage Mages

Throughout the 2008 election cycle we saw men and women praise Obama to the extreme. They touted that their "gas tanks would be filled" and their "mortgages paid." This weird belief of fairytale gas gods and magic mortgage mages was idiotic at best. However, on some level Obama began to believe the hyperbole the American people were throwing his way. The press didn't touch him, his followers loved him, and it's safe to assume that B. Hussein Obama hasn't suffered from lack of confidence.

His beliefs in himself have carried over to the presidency. If you want proof of his arrogance, look no further than his actions and tone. It might be the fact that he has chosen to give himself "a good, solid B-plus" on his presidential performance. This leaves me to wonder what the allah a good, solid F might look like. It might be the fact that he disrespects the Oval Office by tossing a football to and fro or putting his feet upon the resolute desk. It might be the fact that on the heels of the Massachusetts (Martha, take note on my spelling, please) election he said, "Well, the big difference here and in ’94 was you’ve got me." His arrogance, you would agree, is astounding. Obama believes he personally can save the liberals in the house and the senate even in the face of his plummeting popularity numbers.

You would think Obama would get the message the American people are sending. However, the message against BIG GOVERNMENT will never be received when you have people as hard headed as Howard Dean who said, "This is not, contrary to what a lot of American pundits are talking about, this is not a revolt of the Right. This is Barack Obama's core base not thinking that we've done what he was asked to do." I can define that kind of reaction, together with Chris Matthews, only in this way: "That's crazy!" Scott Brown promised, time and again, to be the "41st vote" against socialized healthcare, the same policy that the left-wing loons have tried to jam down the American peoples' throat for more than half a century. The left's talking heads would have you believe that the election of Scott Brown was not a referendum, but rather an encouragement package from Barack's loving base.

Scott Brown Wins--The Grassroots Rise!

It is in times like these that the excitement is unbelievable. It is in these times that your hope and faith is restored in the American individual. The victory that took place in Massachusetts is the biggest Republican win since W. in 2000. The American people have sent a shockwave through the Democratic held House and Senate by ripping the iconic Senate seat held by Ted Kennedy for nearly forty-seven years away from a political party that has become increasingly tyrannical. The vote that has taken place will reverberate with every Democrat who holds a seat in a toss-up state. This victory has changed the history of our nation--and might spell the death of socialized healthcare.

The upset is major factor for several reasons. First and foremost, it must be understood that this was an entrenched blue state. Obama won Massachusetts by twenty-six percentage points in the 2008 presidential election. In November, Scott Brown was down by more than thirty points. This is a state where Democrats outnumber Republicans three-to-one. I might add, this win isn't because the Democrats didn't try. Martha Coakley had Obama, Clinton, and the Kennedy clan on the campaign stump. I guess the American people were unpersuaded by what "hope" and "change" had brought.

I think this speaks much more to our current political climate rather than of the greatness of Brown as a model candidate. He is a lightweight when it comes to being socially conservative. Scott also posed nude in Cosmopolitan in his early years. Disregarding these qualms about Brown being a poor conservative, the grassroots behind him ran a great campaign and propelled him into victory. There is a simple way in which you can follow the grassroots' championing of Brown as a candidate--his bank account. In the last week and a half, I believe, he raised one million dollars a day. That amount is staggering and almost unbelievable and I am positive this will continue throughout 2010.

Moreover, the election speaks much to the slow decline of RNC involvement in state campaigns. Subsequent to the RNC's squandering 900,00 on Dee Dee Scozzafava in NY's 23rd congressional district race, the Republican grassroots decided to donate directly to candidates (well at least I did) instead of giving to the party. I think it was apparent that the RNC chose to view this race from a distance. There were no big speeches by the Republican hierarchy. They slowly and quietly contributed $500,000 over the last few weeks of campaigning. The torn relationship between the RNC and the conservative grassroots might heal in time for a strong unified 2012 presidential run, but in the mean time the GOP will have a "streamlined" bank account. I sure hope they use the money they do get wisely.

At this moment in time we will celebrate the election of Scott Brown! And toast to the hopeful death of socialized medicine.

Boston Globe Gives Election Numbers 8 Hours Before Polls Close!

Boston Globe Calls Election in Advance of Election. — The amount of corruption and idiocy shown by the Globe todays is repugnant and sad.

"Boston.com briefly put up this map of the final results of today’s election — some 8 hours before polls closed!

As you can see, over 2 million people voted, with Coakley eking out a 50-49 victory. The map was fully interactive, so you could roll over and get town-by-town results — above we show Coakley taking Cohasset 56-43. They took the map down shortly after I pointed it out on Twitter. But not before we Phoenix troublemakers got the screen shots!"

We can all hope this is a Dewy defeats truman moment.

Kennedy Might Help Brown Win Massachusetts’ Senate Election.

We aren't talking about Ted Kennedy, of Chappaquiddick fame, but rather we are talking about Joseph Kennedy.

The candidacy of Joe Kennedy, a little-known insurgent candidate who bears no relation — or resemblance — to Massachusetts’ first family of politics is raising the possibility that some confused voters may pull the lever for him in Tuesday’s special election for the late Ted Kennedy’s Senate seat.

With the race at a statistical dead heat, the number of votes Kennedy attracts could sway the outcome of the high-stakes race. In an ironic twist, if enough longtime Kennedy supporters pull the lever for Kennedy, it could doom President Obama’s plan to overhaul the U.S. health care system — a goal Ted Kennedy championed for decades until his death last summer.

Come hell and high water there is no chance Joe can take down Brown and Coakley. However, there is a slim chance that some dems might become mistaken and pull the lever for Kennedy... taking votes from Coakley.

What Can Brown Do For You?

Well, in short with the election of Scott Brown as United States Senator he could stop socialized healthcare.

Riding a wave of opposition to Democratic health-care reform, GOP upstart Scott Brown is leading in the U.S. Senate race, raising the odds of a historic upset that would reverberate all the way to the White House, a new poll shows.

Although Brown’s 4-point lead over Democrat Martha Coakley is within the Suffolk University/7News survey’s margin of error, the underdog’s position at the top of the results stunned even pollster David Paleologos.

The election will be held Tuesday, Jan. 19th.
