Palin Isn't Good For The GOP

Let's all face facts, even, you, the Palin apologizer (the Katie Couric interview was down right terrible)--Sarah Palin isn't good news for the GOP.

If you have failed to remember, the GOP hierarchy pissed off the American people just in time for the 2006 and 2008 elections. They spent, acted, and were no different than Democrats. Under the watch of Bush and Delay, the federal government ballooned in size. In my own estimations the GOP was at death's door because it departed from core conservative principles.

There was very little that could be done to regain the trust of the American people--because the Republicans didn't deserve our trust.

As the '08 elections took place, a movement began to rise largely because of the enthusiasm behind Palin. Whether you're a fan or not, she created an enthusiasm behind a campaign and a candidate that was deader than a door nail. Yes, we can argue about semantics of the Tea Party, but I doubt it would be where it is today without her.

America now has the ability to stop people from moving over to the Democratic leftist ideas that would doom America to socialism. America now has the ability to affectively create a transparent government because  of the fact that Palin and the Tea Party movement have shoved their way onto the political scene.

However, no matter how good this is for America and conservative beliefs, it is not something the GOP is thrilled about. It is imperative that we remember--many of the current GOP senators and congressmen are the same people who sold us down the river just a few years back.

The Tea Party movement should not stop at Democrats. It has to pursue anyone, R, I, or D, who seeks to abandon liberty for tyranny. I believe Palin will go after those within her own party just as she did in Alaska. She might not be right for the presidency in 2012. She may not ever hold public office again, but she will be a voice for the conservative base. This is the very reason I believe Palin isn't good for the current GOP.

The Left is Right

Sorry I'm late with this week's blog (even more sorry no one noticed I was late) but I've been scouring the Midwest looking for bodies.  I know that sounds morbid, but with the left screaming about how people are dying in the streets because we're the only civilized country without government supplied health care, I thought I'd go looking for some of these bodies.

The Left IS right, we are the only civilized country that doesn't have socialized medicine.  We're also the only country that whose who have the means chose to come to have life saving procedures performed.  That's because the health care in this country is the best, bar none.  (When was the last time you heard of someone flying to Canada to have life saving surgery?)

"I lived in England for 3 years", said Red Eye's Greg Gutfeld, "and people don't die in the streets there, they die in the hospitals."

What needs reforming is health care insurance, but the government is throwing out the baby with the bath water.  They're attempting to revamp the entire medical industry.  Let's face it, medicine is an art as much as it is a science; diagnoses don't always come easily.  But, under this plan, if your doctor reaches his spending ceiling, he won't be reimbursed.  The reality is that doctors are not only healers, they are small business owners.  They have overhead;, the cost of the building and the utilities where they practice, nurses, medical assistants, book keepers receptionists and insurance.

That's right, doctors need to have insurance, the most costly of which is: malpractice insurance.  And the primary reason malpractice insurance is so high: litigation.  Any attempt of reform that does not deal with tort reform is ludicrous and doomed from the start.  And no bill currently being discussed by the fools on the hill even mention tort reform. (Trial lawyers are the single biggest contributors to the Democrat Party).  There are only two trades that the members don't have to perfect, medicine and law.  They get to "practice".  But whom do you trust more, your doctor or your lawyer?

This plan doesn't go into effect until 2014.  That's not entirely true, we get to start paying for it next year.  That's like going to an auto dealership, picking out a car, paying for it, but not get to drive it for 4 years.  But in the meantime you still pay for the car you're currently driving.  Who in their right mind would do that?

Then there's the "fines".  Under Obamacare, if you chose not to procure insurance, you shall (the word shall appears over 3,000 times) be fined (taxed).  If you have excellent insurance, you shall be fined (taxed).  So I guess this administration concedes that their plan is better than nothing, but doesn't even strive to be excellent! And actually penalizes excellence.  Why am I the only one who seems to be outraged by this?

Well, I didn't find any dead bodies on any streets, I did find (too) many who support government controlled health care.  When I asked them where the money was going to come from to pay for medical services, their answer was "The government".  Herein lies the problem.  Too many people forget that the government's money started out as their money.

Your thoughts?
