GOP, Get Your Act Together

The Republican party is acting as if they have no convictions. We have come to a point in American life where religion, politics, and the direction of our country are the topics of the day. We aren't dead set on talking about tv shows, movies, books, or celebrities. We have moved our focus from very trivial items to those of great importance.  I think, more often than not, Americans are awakening from their coma-culture. We have slept throughout our culture's development. We have allowed it to develop without interference from common sense or God. However, this season of sleepiness is ending and with that there will come a political revolution. A revolution that either the GOP can win over with its beliefs of limited-government or can anger by trying to be a "big-tent" party.

The GOP will be responsible for losing the healthcare debate if it doesn't wake up. The defeat will not happen because of the GOP's lack of support among its constituents or because of opinion polls. When you examine the national polls, Obama and his liberal allies are losing ground. Obama's approval rating is below 50% and Congress's has taken a dive as well. In every major concern the American people have been polled on Republicans are trusted by a majority. Furthermore, not one poll shows that healthcare is supported by the majority. In fact, every poll reveals it is supported by a small minority (about 30%). If this doesn't stop the Dems then it is up to the Republicans. They need to get their act together for the sake of the American people.

I feel as though the GOP doesn't have the equipment (to put it nicely) to stand against the liberals in a real way. The GOP has the support of the American people. They have the backing of the people who gave birth to a new political revolution. If only the Republicans would reach out and take it. Where are the GOP's answers to the problems Americans are facing? Every Republican Senator and Congressman could get behind a bill that would make state-to-state competition and tort reform a possibility. Unfortunately, they have chosen not too. They could easily go around Nancy and take this bill to the American people (the best defense is a good offense). They could promote it on every news show and at every townhall. They have the ability to make their case directly to the American  people. The protection of liberty is now in the hands of the GOP.

RNC ad: “Dictionary”

I (as I have said before) don't care for Republican ads because they usually aren't done well. But the ad Dictionary that the RNC just released is well-made and gets the point across. Please enjoy.
